MIGUEL ANGEL VERA BARRERA
Graduated (1988) from the Universidad Tecnologica de Mexico and Teacher of the cathedra of Mercantile Corporations, Banking Law and Seminary of Civil Contracts of the Law Departament of the Universidad Tecnologica de Mexico (1992-1994).
In the year of 1985 began as Assistant of Register of Deed in the Registro Público de la Propiedad del D.F., concluding in 1987 as a Register of Deed; subsequently from January 1988 to December 1989 works in the Public Notaría Publica 189 of Mexico City, with the Notary Public Mr. Luis Torres and Ortiz.
In 1990 starts at Banco Internacional, S.N.C. (now HSBC Mexico, S.A.) as a General Counsel and Legal Director of Consulting and Contracting (national responsibility), until October of 1994.
In November of 1990 he joined to Banco Mercantil del Norte, S.A. (Banorte), where he started as a Contract Legal Manager, then he became in the Legal Director of Contracts of the Workout Department, from 1997 to 2002; later he assumes the position of General Counsel Mexico, which held until July of 2004, when he assumes the national responsibility of the Vice President of the Legal Department, reporting directly to the President of the Legal Department of the Grupo Financiero Banorte. On October of 2005, he starts his exercise as independent counsel, creating the law firm Vera y Lozano Abogados, S.C., which for reasons of growth was corporately restructured to consolidate as Vera Leal Abogados, S.C., and thereby continue developing and refining the standards in their areas of corporate law, commercial and civil contracts, banking and securities law and litigation.
RENÉ NUCAMENDI BARRANCO
Graduated (1981) from the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico, did postgraduate studies in Corporate Law at the Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de México (ITAM).
In 1981 started as a legal advisor at the Banco Nacional Pesquero y Portuario, S.N.C., where he worked until 1986, his last position being as Manager of the Legal Advisory Department.
Subsequently, between 1987 and 1991 he worked as Manager of Legal Affairs Unit and Assistant Manager of Material Resources at Hospital General M. Gea González, decentralized agency of the Secretaría de Salud. In 1992 he joined Banco International, S.N.C. (Bital), as Assistant Manager Counsel for Litigation, Institution which later became HSBC Mexico, S.A., working in this bank for 17 years, taking over all those years the positions of Legal Assistant Manager of Intensive Care Credit, Surety Legal Manager, Regional General Counsel and Legal Director of the North Division. His areas of expertise are corporate law and litigation in civil and commercial matters.
MARIO ALBERTO VALDEZ LUNA
He was born in 1983 in Monterrey, N.L., is a graduate (2006) of the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon, currently pursuing a Masters in Corporate Law at the same university, before joining this firm worked in the Legal Department of Concretos La Silla, S.A. de C.V. and at Ruiz Velazco y Asociados, S.C. His areas of expertise are corporate law, banking and corporate.
